Natsave Board appoints Mukwandi Chibesakun­da as Managing Director

MUKWANDI CHIBESAKUN­DA is new Natsave Managing Director. The board of National Savings and Credit Bank arrived at this decision late in the year in its last sitting. Natsave had been without a Managing Director since Cephas Chabu separated with the bank. Mrs Mary Munansanzu held the mantle as Acting MD up to Mukwandi’ s appointmen­t.

Mukwandi has a wealth of banking experience at both regulatory and commercial banking with a skew towards retail banking. She last served as Executive Head of Personal and Business Banking at Stanbic Bank Zambia for half a decade. Mukwandi had a 4-year stint at Access bank Zambia as the first female Managing Director of the Nigerian Bank. Prior to that Mukwandi was at Standard Chartered Bank where she last served as executive Director Consumer Banking totalling her years at Stanchart to 14.

The genesis of her banking career was with the Bank of Zambia where she served as inspector.

Mukwandi is an Economic graduate from University of Zambia with a Post graduate diploma from Manchester Business School. She is an MBA finalist.
