Free booze for Club 263 followers
CLUB 263, a new nightclub which is set to launch next Thursday is giving away alcohol for free, but there is a catch to it.
To qualify to be part of those that will get the freebies, one has to “like” Club 263’s Facebook page or follow and make mention of the joint on Twitter.
“From today until we open doors, we’ll be giving away an assortment of Scottish whiskeys,” said the new club’s spokesperson Zenzele Moyo.
“There’s no limit to how much one person can win. A winner will be drawn from people who will have liked the page daily and announced on Facebook at the end of each day. They’ll be given their bottle of Jameson/Black Label the next day,” Moyo said. He said their promotion was being run on social media as they view their joint as less of a club but more of a social movement where people get to mix and mingle. “Almost every nightspot in Bulawayo has social media presence but we intend to take it to another level. In order to stand out, one needs to know what’s trending and take advantage of it and that’s exactly what we’re doing,” said Moyo. Management at the club said they have a team of researchers that will keep their fingers on the pulse and engage the target market. “We don’t want to be boring, that’s what kills nightclubs. There’s a team of researchers that’ll keep us abreast with current trends. It’s not just about selling alcohol – we’re about a lifestyle culture of music, fashion and social responsibility.”
