Fans need to behave at Barbourfields
EDITOR — As we approach the Highlanders, Dynamos match it is important that fans belonging to these two teams maintain peace as they enjoy the fixture.
Previous meetings between the two local football giants have been long dreaded owing to the violence and chaos they come with.
The Premier League administration seems to have developed a tough stance on match violence, so these two teams need to be careful to avoid potential points deduction and fines. Our league is at a point where a single point lost could impact negatively on either of these two teams’ championship prospects.
Also, the match officials handling the match also need to keep a level head and apply themselves professionally as tensions will be high on the day from the fans, match officials and the players themselves.
Any rushed decisions may disrupt the game and create a bad name for our league and nation at a time when Fifa officials are in the country. Jeremy Moyana.
