Mujuru has no future in politics
EDITOR — Joice Mujuru has demonstrated that she is utterly incompetent and her efforts to land the top political post in the land will most certainly come to naught.
Her interview on BBC’s HARDtalk showed her to be a denialist with no ideology or mettle. Her whole political career was based on support of the late General Solomon Mujuru and the benevolence of President Robert Mugabe.
Mujuru lied about her wealth and assets and expects people to follow her when she cannot be honest with them. She claims that she has the people but was too scared to hold an elective congress at Zim People First because she knew that they would not vote for her.
That is why she took a unilateral and dictatorial position to form a new party which is as good as old wine in new skins, nothing substantial will come of it.
Not only did Mujuru show herself to be a blatant liar but she also plans on reversing the gains of independence. This is extremely shambolic and shows that she is not the revolutionary she claims to be and is in fact a traitor to the liberation struggle.
How can any patriotic Zimbabwean wish to see the wealth and economy in this country returned to colonial hands? Mujuru clearly has paymasters in the West who are influencing her and she hopes that they can usher her into power.
Well, the reality is that bad interview will have those paymasters running away. She should have learnt from the debacle that was Tsvangirai. Not only will she lose her Western financiers but she has already lost the people of Zimbabwe.
Mujuru is a failed politician who needs to retire to her village home in Dotito. The people of Zimbabwe are not fools and will not fall for her cheap antics to gain political office.
One thing that has worked to Zanu-PF’s advantage is that Mujuru interviews so badly damaged her she will decampaign herself out of the 2018 election and will take anyone she comes in contact with down with her. I would go so far as to warn any opposition parties to refrain from a coalition with her if they are serious about their brand. Tonderai Kureba Harare
