Relax,God is in control

-

Isaiah 45 vs 6 - 7

“That they may know from the rising of the sun to its setting. That there is none besides Me. I am the Lord, and there is no other; I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I, the Lord, do all these things.”

I WAS speaking to a friend of mine this morning and over the last few months stress has begun to take its toll on them and they are constantly unwell.

This person is constantly on the move, aiming to please and meet a “certain” standard in all they do, to their own detriment.

So many people are caught up in similar circumstances where, in a bid to earn a living, they are literally chasing the wind and can hardly take a break.

Activity is good. We are meant to pursue the things we desire that bring us fulfillment. It’s part of who we are. However, our ability to live is not entirely tied to what we do. Although we have to play our part in the labour and tarry the fields, ultimately we are all taken care of through the providence of the Father.

Only He can bring the rains or change the fortunes of a situation. We try so hard to take the place of our Maker in an attempt to define our own success when in fact that role is His and His alone.

As you chase the issues of life be guided by the fact that He created you in such a way that you require rest. He specifically set aside a time for rest as espoused by the day of worship that is set aside for us to recharge, find new hope and just take it easy.

Take time out and remember your body requires you to pace out your life. As you do allow Him to take charge of the bigger issues around your life.

He makes the sun rise and set everyday, He is in control.

Be blessed. REFLECTIONS OF A WORK IN PROGRESS . . .
