AFCON must come to Zimbabwe now that Phillip Chiyangwa has been appointed vice president of Africa Cup of Nations organising committee. It’s our turn. — N Maswerasei

It is clear what is causing the cash shortages; people are no longer banking their money because once they do so there is no guarantee that they will get it out when they want it. It is a bit of a chicken and egg situation. Banks are now only used for salaries. People need to be encouraged to bank their money. There is a lot of money that is tied up in the informal sector. — Wellington Chatukuta.

GOOD luck to all the pipils who have returned to school. I hope that they are able to focus on their education and attain good grades at the end of the year — Rosemary Tendai

I THINK it is a good thing that Phillip Chiyangwa has been appointed to the CAF committee. Zimbabwean football will benefit from the Zifa chairperson being in such a position. I hope that he continues to focus his efforts on building the strength and presence of Zimbabwean football. — Takudzwa Kurinda

A spike, just like a gun, is a weapon which should be used by police against criminals. In the hands of a responsible and active police force, it’s a very effective tool. Unfortunately, with lack of supervision, it is the police force which now needs policing. With all the tools they might need, including conducive laws, the current force will not deliver. The problem is not the spike, it is the person holding the spike who needs serious orientation on how and when to use it. — Nelson Moyo

Just looking at the opposition, they are like a bunch of church denominations who talk of the same goal but keep to their parochial interests while reporting to different Jehovahs. The foreign controlled politics which started by being used to oppose our land reform and other black economic empowerment policies is a factor only ignored by political fools. Come 2018, this fake coalition will suffer a similar defeat to that of 2013. — Cde Mzvinavhu
