I THINK it is a good thing that Phillip Chiyangwa has been appointed to the CAF committee. Zimbabwean football will benefit from the Zifa chairperson being in such a position. A spike, just like a gun, is a weapon which should be used by police against criminals. In the hands of a responsible and active police force, it’s a very effective tool. Unfortunately, with lack of supervision, it is the police force which now needs policing. With all the tools they might need, including conducive laws, the current force will not deliver. Just looking at the opposition, they are like a bunch of church denominations who talk of the same goal but keep to their parochial interests while reporting to different Jehovahs. The foreign controlled politics which started by being used to oppose our land reform and other black economic empowerment policies is a factor only ignored by political fools.
