TO ensure calmness in domestic football, how about having a disciplinary ratings log according to their peaceful conducts for all the 18 teams so as to reward them at the end of the season? — Lovemore Kashawo.

MR Editor please allow me space in your widely read paper to air my views about what is happening in my beloved team HIGHLANDER HIGHLANGA BOSSO. I am a die hard Highlanders supporter and I supported this team from the loins of my parents. If there was black and white blood I was going to have it because of the love I have for that team. What angers me now is what the people that call themselves Highlanders are doing at the team’s matches, this makes me doubt if these are the real Highlanders supporters or a bunch of drunkards that do not have this team in their hearts. How can they be supporters and referees at the same time. By so doing they make our team an enemy of all referees in Zimbabwe, an enemy of football administrators, they are scaring away sponsors. The issue of referees is not a new one, Highlanders used to win league championships and trophies in the presence of biased refereeing. Argentina lifted the World Cup by the error of a referees, so it is not us alone. Put yourself in the shoes of the team that lost the World Cup through a handball goal. Do you know the debt you are creating for Highlanders and that Highlanders 100 percent depends on gate takings. You guys that are doing all this are you registered members, are you paying anything towards the upkeep of the team? These guys have the power to ban us from the stadia. How is Highlanders going to survive, let’s be human guys and support our team like civilised citizens. We genuine supporters asifuni bumbulu that is made by hooligans. — Real Highlanders Supporter

I DID not like the way you handled the Ihlathi High issue. As a Bulawayo paper it is your duty to publish issues which mould our society, children included. The way our youths are behaving these days needs a firm hand from both parents and teachers, but the way you reported — you blew everything out of proportion. At the end Bulawayo will lose as our students will fail and become drunkards and drug abusers because of this silly policy of “non-violent means”. — Concerned Parent, Bulawayo.
