The Song in your Heart

-

Psalm 42 vs 11

“Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.”

I had the opportunity to watch a kaleidoscope of artistes who recently released a music album. There was a brief write up about each artiste, including when they last produced commercial work for release.

As I read through the stories of the various artistes what stood out for me was the fact that yesteryear’s stars were still alive. Some of them were now very old but what was amazing was that despite the passage of time they were still producing music.

One of the artistes had last produced an album 20 years ago, it’s now a different era altogether but you could feel their resilient spirit. The years may have taken their toll on the artiste and their physical appearance has changed over time, but they still desire to remain current and relevant.

God planted that spirit in all of us, we desire to hold on to life, live it to the fullest and never stop trying until the very last minute. Regardless of age we all want to continue living and remain relevant.

Have the issues of life left you feeling a little tired and worn out? Don’t give up. God did not put a spirit of giving up in us, He created us to celebrate life and more importantly to keep pushing for something better. Hold on to this desire and never give up, He will see you through.

Hold on to the music in your heart, find new inspiration and never stop singing His praises.

Be blessed.
