‘Day-dreamer’ sets up civil engineering firm
business to provide services that range from flooring, painting, tiling, roofing, stands installation, carpentry and window glazing.
“I have realised that for me to survive in this business I have to be multi-skilled and provide different services to the people,” said Moyo.
“We also supply irrigation equipment, borehole equipment, water and sewage reticulation material, water meters and short collar joints.”
In a bid to expand his knowledge in the business, Moyo is now pursuing a civil engineering degree with the University of South Africa.
“I have realised that I have to keep abreast with the ever changing business environment and have enrolled with Unisa so as to add knowledge to my skills,” he said.
Moyo believes a successful business has to be guided by integrity and honesty as its core values.
“We believe in honesty and providing satisfactory service and we regard every employee as a leader in his own right, competent and capable. With that in mind we believe that is the way to motivate them,” he said.
Moyo and his wife Loreen have two children, Amanda (15) and Nqobizitha (14). He says he is grateful for the support given by the community to his business hence his decision to plough back to society by paying school fees for the less privileged and orphans.
