THE Gwanda Gospel Festival, which kicks off tomorrow, is set to be beamed live on ZBCtv as well as broadcast on several radio stations to reach out to people who will not be able to attend.

Now in its third edition, the three-day show is promising to be a thriller with the likes of Oliver “Tuku” Mtukudzi and ZimPraise being roped in to add spark.

Themed “God is speaking . . . are you listening? Feel it, it’s here”, the festival will take place at Pelandaba Stadium with Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko expected to officially open the event on Saturday.

Big Time Strategic Group — organisers of the event — said a stage bigger than that used last year is already being erected, accompanied with marquee tents with a capacity of housing over a 1 000 people.

Alson Darikayi, Bigtime Strategic Group Zimbabwe spokesperson said all was set for the event with performers in the country expected to start arriving today. He said they were happy to have ZBCtv on board as they want all Zimbabweans to witness the event which keeps growing.

“This year’s edition of the Gwanda Gospel Festival is going to be bigger and even better as it will, for the first time, be beamed live on ZBCtv and radio stations which include Skyz Metro FM and Star FM to reach out to those who won’t be able to travel to Gwanda,” said Darikayi.

He said a lot of surprise performances had been lined up.

“As Big Time Strategic Group, we love surprising people so on the three days, we’ll have surprise performances, not forgetting our highly talented local cast”.

Other artistes who will be part of the festival include ZCC Mbungo who brought the house down last year, Minister Mahendere, Tholakele Dhlamini, Knowledge Nkiwane, Judith Moyo and South Africans, Bethusile, Denzil and Lusanda Spiritual Group.
