Hats off to women in leadership positions

-

EDITOR — I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude to the work being done by the women in political office in this country.

The First Lady felt that women were left behind and came up with a poultry project which is set to benefit thousands of families in the country’s 10 provinces.

On the other hand, I want to thank Cde Mandi Chimene and Cde Irene Zindi for their participation in engaging the Penhalonga community on the issue concerning the much talked about diamond discovery and the issue of title deeds of houses.

It is of paramount importance that whenever there are problems, the First Lady and the local Members of Parliament are at the forefront in discussing and addressing issues with local communities.

It is encouraging and inspiring to have women extending their motherly role from their households to whole communities.

This also shows that women are not only mothers but leaders who have selfless and committed to seeing development in their country.

Leaders are exemplary and work hard to serve the interests of the people and this is what these women showed as they put themselves at the service of the citizens.

To these women I say keep up the good work for it is bringing economic development in the country. Let this not be the last but rather the beginning of more developmental projects to come. BV Mashingaidze, Penhalonga
