Ferguson Films release brand new drama

POWERHOUSE couple, Shona and Connie Ferguson, are at it once again with the announceme­nt of their brand new drama series.

Through their production company, Ferguson Films, Shona and Connie are bringing a new show called The Impostor to Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161).

Ferguson Films, who also produced Rockville, Igazi and The Queen — are now producing a 13-part drama series which will debut on Mzansi Magic on Sunday at 8PM. The show will tell the tale of twin sisters, Mantwa and Matshepo Tau, who find themselves at war as a consequenc­e of a moment that changed their lives. One of the sisters breaks out of prison after spending 17 years behind bars. She then takes over the wonderful life of her identical twin who is responsibl­e for her incarcerat­ion.

The show will star South African acting greats Thishiwe Ziqubu, Mpumi Mpama (Zack Phiri from The Queen), Khulu Skenjana, Omuhle Gela, Zenzo Nqobe (Stone Khuse from Rhythm City), Owen Sejake (Gumboot from Tsotsi) and Mary Twala – Somizi Mhlongo’s mother.
