Pray for the hungry

-

Isaiah 58 vs 10

“If you extend your soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light shall dawn in the darkness, and your darkness shall be as the noonday.”

Food, or rather the ability to readily access food, is something that we tend to take for granted or assume that it is a forgone right, yet many people go hungry or without. To be able to have regular meals, though it may appear mundane, is a luxury that so many of us should reflect on and thank the LORD almighty for.

I saw some scary images of emaciated kids who have nothing to eat and have literally become walking skeletons. They were being force fed through a drip, in an attempt by Doctors Without Borders to intervene in one of the many drought ravaged countries.

My thoughts rushed to the fact that we spend so much time complaining and we forget just how blessed we are in our imperfection. We take so many things for granted yet they constitute the very being that makes our lives better.

Let’s take time to remember all the people who are less fortunate than we are and let’s pray for them so that they can also have better days.

Let’s pray for rain in just the right quantity so that food may be in abundance.

Be blessed
