IMBUBE group Insingizi and songstress Nkwali recently dazzled thousands of fans in Austria where they were part of the Hollywood in Vienna cast.

Nkwali and Insingizi who were featured by a television station in Austria, have since carved out a name for themselves.

Hollywood in Vienna is an annual symphonic gala concert celebrating classic and masterpieces of film music.

This year, they were celebrating Animation soundtracks, Batman, Simpsons and Lion King among others.

Speaking from Austria, Nkwali said she was happy to have impressed in front of Hollywood directors.

“They wanted talented African singers and identified Insingizi who were there for the second time and also invited a South African lady Smiley Divinzenz. I was also invited this year.

“We performed different songs from our albums and also performed my hit song NyawoIami dancing Isitshikitsha with my brothers and the audience was fascinated,” said Nkwali. She said Imbube music is loved in Europe. “Imbube is loved in Europe. The response to my music has been amazing. The welcome I received in Europe took me by surprise and I was featured on Austrian and Germany TV networks and various newspapers. There’s nothing as fulfilling as seeing your name and pictures splashed in front pages of popular daily newspapers after every event,” said Nkwali.

The artiste who left Zimbabwe earlier this year, said she loved touring Europe as she gets exposed to different cultures.

After the success of her debut album Sithokozile which won her a Zimbabwe Music Award in 2015, Nkwali said she was ready to release a second one next year.

“I’m thrilled that my single Kwanele released recently is doing well and people love it. Thanks to all the radio stations and DJs in Zimbabwe who’re pushing it. I’m hard at work recording another single which should be out by end of November to get fans into a Christmas mood. Hopefully, my second album will be out next year.”
