OneMoney receives positive response

“The coming of OneMoney platform is a good move. It comes at a time when there are cash challenges in the country.

“This will bring healthy competitio­n amongst mobile operators. Low transactio­nal charges mean a good value for money for its customers,” said a client, who identified himself as Mr Dube.

“The platform introduced by NetOne gives customers the real deal. The service is good and there is little or no down time when doing transactio­ns. Since we are now living in a cashless society this platform is seamless and we are moving in a right direction as a country in embracing the use of mobile and plastic money,” said Ms Noma Dludlu.

NetOne, which is celebratin­g its 21st anniversar­y this year, has rebranded its OneWallet platform to OneMoney, which can be linked to any ZimSwitch linked debit card.

The platform was now linked with 17 local banking institutio­ns in the country.

Speaking on the sidelines of the prelaunch, NetOne executive marketing manager, Dr Eldrette Shereni, said the response was encouragin­g and as

Meanwhile, in comparison with other mobile money service providers OneMoney charges as little as $0.05 per transactio­n, Telecash is $0.11 the same amount that Ecocash charges when transactin­g to registered numbers. — @Kiyaz_Cool.
