Well done Zifa

-

EDITOR — The Zimbabwe Football Association (Zifa) showed that they have the ability to organise big matches after they successfully organised a match between the Warriors and the Barcelona legends.

This match showcased some good lessons for the current crop of players. I am sure they have noticed that there was no kick and run kind of football from both sides. The Warriors legends proved their talent.

This game also showed that our soccer legends are still relevant to the game. Remaining fit was evident on the 12th of November.

I have watched a number of legends play games. Most of them are still fit. Indeed the youngsters can learn a lot, but while celebrating this carnival we must not forget that to create future legends, the junior structures should be taken seriously.

However, my concern is over the issue of engaging a good coach for the Warriors legends to prepare for future matches. It is important for a coach to get to know his players better.

I also want to thank Zifa for inviting Prophet Walter Magaya to be a guest player. This also showed that being a man of God does not stop one from interacting with others even through participating in sporting activities. We hope that other prophets and pastors will begin to show up at such activities helping in different ways either by participating or any other means.

Well done Zifa! Anderson Kamoto.
