Employ intelligent way to deal with VID corruption

-

EDITOR — If the Ministry of Transport wants to succeed in eradicating corruption at VID then they should employ intelligent and modest ways of dealing with the culprits And the most corrupt town is Gwanda. Why not try to empower individuals from key ministries and give them arresting powers because the police is tainted.

One of the strategies to bring to book these cunning foxes is to use unmarked cars carry a few people and use the Gwanda-West Nicholson route one is assured of fishing from the pot as they will vigorously demand cash.

Or approach them and spontaneous searches so that they account for any monies on them.

There is no reward for guessing that they stash the loot in their service vehicle when driving home for sharing They have secret ways of handling their clients. They don’t use cell phones or banks but they have middlemen who broker deals and arrangements are made for cash .

It’s so disturbing to hear these guys bragging that they have cash and after every session they have their dinner at either chicken inn or expensive outlets in the town, in Panama or in CBD.

Life style audit should be instituted against them. Otherwise government is losing thousands of dollars in potential revenue to these guys who in my view should not get away with glaring day light robbery of poor Zimbabweans. Worried citizen, Nap, Gwanda.
