The true purpose of life

-

Be blessed Ecclesiastes 12 vs 13 (NIV)

“NOW all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind.”

Have you ever realised that the greater part of humanity does not know the living GOD? They wake up each day to pursue earthly interests and issues, oblivious to the fact that there is a greater power and purpose that exists. Many are of the belief that life is a merry-go-round that revolves around our heart’s desires, yet we have a greater spiritual calling that is related to the reason why we were created and is premised on His desire to make man out of His image.

We have lost the essence of what our role is on this earth. We are misguided to think that it’s everything else but the LORD, very people have time to interact with, or even know of, this higher power that exists. The world is caught up in a race; a race to where, nobody knows. To be bigger, stronger, better, to have more, and in the process drifting further away from the knowledge of the Creator.

A life without God is probably the most meaningless existence that a man could ever wish for himself. Those of us that have been granted the privilege of knowing Him, of being fulfilled by His power and are aware of how fulfilling it is to bask in His glory, are called to share this light with those less fortunate than us.

We have reduced life to a race to acquire, instead of an exercise in fellowship. May God help us to minister to all those that do not know Him but should, and need to know Him.
