RESPONSE to “Police chief challenges cops to maintain peace.” — You are on track Commissioner General, also please emulate other countries offering better policing services. Get rid of fancy cars for the top brass in the police and provide cheap reliable vehicles for patrolling officers. If service vehicles are made available, then cops should just execute their duties. — Gwakumachapu.

RESPONSE to “Alpha Media boss backs ED.” — What happened in November last year, whether it was a military coup or not, does not matter because it did not target the ordinary people in the streets. It targeted a selfish clique that was feasting while everyone was mourning. Get on with it President Mnangagwa; we support your efforts to rebuild this beautiful nation of Zimbabwe. Don’t look back. — Amon.

RESPONSE to “Rwanda’s operational efficiency charms President”. Economic development, like democracy, resembles a pair of shoes. There is no one model that fits all countries. Our government can learn from Rwanda and get ideas that will be practically fine-tuned to fit our economic circumstances. This means we must pick the best from Rwanda and the best from other countries also and make our own pudding. That is the practical challenge in my view. Economic development indicators are debatable. Our government should work closely with our business sector, for example mining, agriculture, manufacturing, financial and other commercial players, to avoid disjointed approaches in the quest for economic recovery and development. — Cde Mzvinavhu.

IT is a good thing for Zimbabwe that even owners of opposition newpapers see the good work that President Mnangagwa is doing. This is good for the country as it raises hope and shames those bent on criticising even good things. Thank you Mr Ncube for being a good citizen. Zimbabwe is our country, and we should all push for its development. — Mai Lisa, Harare
