Seek the knowledge of God

-

Be blessed Jeremiah 9 vs 24

“BUT let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the LORD.

For a while I wondered why people who are far from GOD tend to be prosperous and successful, how countries that are apostate can feed their people and have amazing buildings that defy engineering and human thought. It brought my faith into question until it dawned on me that the nation of Israel, despite being a chosen nation, was in bondage for some time. A promise had long been given of how they would be a great nation, but for a time they toiled as slaves far from the creature comforts of life, dominated by a nation that did not know GOD, but was wealthy and prosperous.

We are often caught up in this doubt, wondering how they seem to be more blessed than we are. Yet it is not the outward show of things that reflects where we are, but the knowledge of GOD that matters. We may have the world, but if we do not have Him, our daily efforts are just that — a meaningless show in which we seek to be relevant, yet we know in our hearts that something greater calls. Seek not only the things of the world, but be blessed by knowing that He exists. Nothing else matters more than knowing and worshipping the one true GOD. May His blessing manifest in your life.
