RESPONSE to “Erect Nkomo statue in Harare — family.” It makes sense, he was called Father Zimbabwe after all. — jo10287.

RESPONSE to “Parly gives Mugabe ultimatum.” He must go and answer, we are eagerly waiting. Parliament should not be lenient on him. — Ndereki Trymore.

RESPONSE to “Government, EU sign poll MoU.” Hopefully we can finally say goodbye to the illegal sanctions. MDC will not be able to use rigging as an excuse for losing the next elections. Chamisa knows it too, which explains why he’s already trying to move the goalposts by demanding that ballot papers be printed at Harvest House. The opposition should be careful what they wish for; they said they wanted free and fair elections that are observed by the west, UN, OAU and Sadc, we are going to have them. We expect them to accept defeat once results are announced. We are tired of them playing victim. — Judas Iscariot.

RESPONSE to “Political parties not a business: CJ.” I think this was supposed to be communicated way back because many have already wasted the little they had while forming these parties. I remember some referring to their newly formed parties as projects and, given the number we have now, it’s clear that a good number of educated thieves were targeting the fund. The tax-payer’s money is subjected to abuse big time. I suggest the funds be channeled towards formation of companies, not political parties. Political parties should fund themselves. — Ray Mbada.

RESPONSE to “Parly gives Mugabe ultimatum.” Do not let this man go scot-free. It does not matter how old he is; he must come and account. Parliament must set a precedence. No one is above the law, no one citizen owns the country. If you let him go then a precedence would have been set. — Trex1.

RESPONSE to “RBZ to increase forex allocation for fuel.” Traffic jams are a result of increasing non-functioning traffic lights as admitted by City Council bosses because of lack of forex for repairs. RBZ cannot claim increased cars without giving statics from the Transport Department. — Trymore Chimurenga.

RESPONSE to “Parly gives Mugabe ultimatum.” Whatever Mugabe’s reason for not complying, I think he is simply taking advantage. It shows exactly what kind of a man we depended on and put our trust on for the past 37 years — arrogant. Parliament needs to deal with him once and for all. — Henry Gumede.

SMS/WHATSAPP The suspension of former Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Chegutu East MP Webster Shamu together with his wife Constance from Zanu- PF pending disciplinary proceedings has brought back my confidence in the party. People like him need to be dealt with. Others will then know that under President Mnangagwa Zimbabwe is not only open for business but that he means it too. — Cecilia Paradzayi.
