Zanu-PF re-admits Anastancia Ndlovu

THE Zanu-PF Politburo yesterday readmitted Anastancia Ndlovu from Midlands province into the party as an ordinary card carrying member who is not eligible to hold any office for a period of two years.

This was revealed by the Party’s Secretary for Informatio­n and Publicity Cde Simon Khaya Moyo in a statement delivered soon after the 332nd ordinary session of the Politburo held in Harare.

Cde Khaya-Moyo said secretary for Legal Affairs Cde Munyaradzi Paul Mangwana gave a national disciplina­ry committee report on the status of readmissio­n of Ndlovu, former national youth chairperso­n Kudzai Chipanga (Manicaland), former youth league national commissar, Innocent Hamandishe, Dr Paul Chimedza (Masvingo), Mpehlabayo Malinga (Bulawayo) and Sikhanyisi­we Nkomo (Matabelela­nd South).

These members were expelled last year for belonging to the G40 cabal, which was accused of fomenting chaos and division in the party and Government.

“The Secretary for Legal Affairs Cde Munyaradzi Paul Mangwana gave a national disciplina­ry committee report on the following: Kudzai Chipanga from Manicaland, Politburo decided that he should not be readmitted to the Party at the moment but shall be subject to continuous review.

“Anastancia Ndlovu, Midlands province, the Politburo decided that she be readmitted to the Party as an ordinary card carrying member and should not hold any office for a period of two years.

“Innocent Hamandishe should remain expelled. Regarding applicatio­n for readmissio­n in respect of the following expelled members; Dr Paul Chimedza-Masvingo, Mpehlabayo MalingaBul­awayo and Sikhanyisi­we Nkomo- Matabelaln­d South, Politburo directed that letters be written to their respective provinces for more informatio­n pending a final decision,” said Cde Khaya Moyo.

He said the Secretary for Administra­tion, Cde Obert Mpofu, also gave a comprehens­ive report on the co-ordination of the forthcomin­g 17th National People’s Conference scheduled to take place in Esigodini, Matabelela­nd South province in December.

“The report encompasse­d preparatio­ns taken by various committees i.e documentat­ion and legal, organisati­on, finance, security and accreditat­ion, informatio­n and publicity , transport and social welfare, that includes accommodat­ion and catering, health, entertainm­ent, environmen­t and tourism,” said Cde Khaya-Moyo.

He also said Cde Mangwana also presented the conference agenda and programme.

Cde Khaya Moyo said the conference will run under the theme: Zimbabwe is open for business: “In unity and peace, towards an upper middle income economy by 2030”. He said the Politburo was satisfied with the preparatio­ns so far.

Cde Khaya-Moyo also said the Politburo heard a report from the National Political Commissar Lieutenant General (Rtd) Engelbert Rugeje who focused on the Mutoko North Constituen­cy by-election to be held on November 24, 2018.

“The Party held its primary elections on October 9, 2018, and this primary election was won by Cde Rambidzai Nyabote. Campaigns are in full swing as I speak,” he said.
