Provincial business conference for Masvingo

MASVINGO Provincial Affairs Minister, Ezra Chadzamira, will today host a provincial business conference where captains of industry and small to medium enterprises (SMEs) representatives will exchange ideas on how to promote investment in the province.

Provincial administrator, Mr Fungai Mbetsa, said the conference was meant to set the tone for the devolution drive with emphasis on building a vibrant provincial economy using locally available resources.

“The Minister of State for Provincial Affairs, Cde Chadzamira will host business people in the province at a one-day conference slated for Monday (today) at Flamboyant Hotel,” said Mr Mbetsa.

He said the conference would be graced by Cabinet ministers who also come from the province and encouraged all business leaders to attend the event.

“The Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development, Professor Amon Murwira, is expected to be our guest of honour. The meeting will also be an interactive one,” said Mr Mbetsa.

He said the objective of the conference is to brainstorm on what the province can offer in terms of investment opportunities.

Mr Mbetsa said Masvingo has a number of economic opportunities that companies operating in the province and from outside can exploit. — @walterbmswazie2
