Yes, Lord!

-

Ephesians 2 vs 10

“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

Sometimes God steers you in a certain direction that you never envisioned for yourself. A lack of confidence or just sheer stubbornness because you have your own vision attempts to derail you from God’s chosen path for you. You waste a lot of time and energy fighting God, trying to go in your own direction, but to no avail.

God has a calling for each one of us to fulfill in our lives so we can bring glory and honor to Him. Are you obeying it or avoiding it? No matter how unexpected it seems or how much you think it’s not suited for you, when He chooses you the best thing you can do is to say, “Yes Lord, use me as you deem fit, not my will but Your will be done.”

Don’t be like Jonah who went in the opposite direction of what God had called him to do. God had to send a violent storm to intercept him. When we choose disobedience and our own will over God’s will, our actions or lack thereof can have consequences on not only us but those around us as well.

You can’t run away or hide from God. Jonah ended up being thrown off the boat, being swallowed by a fish and staying in its belly for three days, eventually repenting and being granted another chance to go where God had sent him in the first place.

Do you feel God is pushing you in a certain direction but you are so set on doing it your own way? Don’t run away, run to Him, respond to His call, be obedient, remain faithful and all will go well for you.

Be blessed
