POPULAR recording outfit, Diamond Studio has gone digital and will launch their new studios through DRC rhumba musician, Allan Desolo B.

Desolo B, who is now based in the country, gels with the studio’s new plans according to its executive director Boss Steady Munyanyi.

The new state-of-the-art studio is housed in Marlborough.

“Diamond Studio has gone digital and we are happy to launch the platform through a talented singer Desolo B from DRC.

“We have signed the talented youthful lyricist, choreographer and veteran rhumba musician because we trust his capabilities to go international.

“Desolo B has been unsung ever since he relocated to Zimbabwe and we have already invested in his career.

“Get ready for his new video soon,” said Boss Munyanyi.

He said as Diamond they were confident that they would gain mileage with Desolo B on board.

“He is one of the most promising talent around and if everything goes to plan he is going to put both DRC and Zimbabwe on the international

map.

“Desolo B is like the new face of our digital side and we are inviting more artistes from all genres and corners to partner with us in this new era,”

he said.

As part of the digital marketing package for musicians, the studio will now be responsible for crafting full-time contracts, marketing and distribution of music on online sites like YouTube, iTunes, Google Play Music, Spitfire and Revebnation.

Costs will also be adopted for studio recording and visual filming.

“We have acquired state of the art equipment including a filming black box.

“Our artistes will now enjoy services including a digital village and links to international arts and culture festivals,” he said.

He said Zimbabweans living in the diaspora would play a huge role in the new setup.

“Almost everyone has a relative living in the diaspora hence we are using the digital platform to bridge the gap and connect people through music.

“We have already established links with studios and artistes in Nigeria, UK, China and the US.

“Our aim is to get our artistes to reach their desired destiny quickly and their work being viewed on international music stations like Channel O, Trace TV and MTV among others,” he said.

Diamond Studio began their journey in Botswana back in 2006 before moving to the country in 2008.

They have produced artistes like Jah Prayzah, Sulu, Mahendere Brothers, Kudzi Nyakudya and Jeffrey Matautau who came in from Botswana.
