All because of greed
TODAY we have a story that has made headlines almost every week for four weeks running, the story of a Murewa boy who was murdered in cold blood and mutilated for ritual purposes.
That people can go to such lengths to be wealthy shows just how backward and evil we can be as a people.
It is really archaic that one can believe killing an innocent boy who has done you or the world no wrong could somehow bring one good fortunes in life or in business.
Just believing such perverted thinking means there has to be something wrong with one’s way of thinking.
Even if it were true that such a cold blooded murder can bring one wealth, the person has to be the devil himself to consider that an option to become rich.
And all traditional healers behind such devilish ideas are witches that deserve to be locked up.
Everything behind this story has Satan written all over and all participants in the boy’s killing, known and unknown, confessed or in denial, do not deserve freedom or happiness in their lives.
Even if the law does not catch up with all of them, may their hearts never know happiness until they have paid for their actions.
Only God can forgive such devils.
So whether it’s the witch doctor who proffered such a murder as a means to wealth, or the businessman who wanted to enjoy presumed wealth at the expense of the young boy’s blood, or the people that helped these devils achieve their purpose — all these people do not deserve to sleep well at night.
That boy fortunately feels no more pain but those men, or women behind his murder must never know happiness or whatever fortunes they thought they would get from murdering the innocent soul.
Now, a whole month later, the boy’s family, and the country at large, are still grieving. All because of a few men who let their love of money force them to kill an innocent little, defenceless boy.
This is why the famous bible verse is so true to mankind; the LOVE OF MONEY is the root of all evil.
Money is not the problem but what people will do to get money when driven by greed can be ruinous to their souls.
It is the bad decisions that people make when desperate for wealth that can easily lead to loss of life and turn them into murderers.
But this needs to stop. People cannot go around behaving like savages — for whatever reason.
Life is precious and we must do everything to safeguard not just our lives but the life of the next person as well, especially if that person is an innocent young child.
