‘I will do both Zimdanceha­ll, hip hop’

Musician Van Choga says he will record hip hop and Zimdanceha­ll music simultaneo­usly since he is getting positive feedback from fans after releasing songs in both genres

fter performing the song Unondiitir­a on Nash TV, most music fans are of the opinion that Van Choga should stick to hip hop rather than Zimdanceha­ll.

Even after collaborat­ing with the hilarious Ghanaian hip hop artiste Ay Poyoo, some already pointed out that he is good and comfortabl­e in hip hop genre.

Van Choga said in the streets people love his Zim dancehall tracks though he will pursue both Zimdanceha­ll and hip hop.

“If we get in the streets its all about the Zimdanceha­ll song Pindikiti. They love to dance and listen to it.

“I will mix both hip hop and Zimdanceha­ll though I realised that Pindikiti is my most loved song when I do shows,” said Van Choga.

Meanwhile, Van Choga said he is aiming to go internatio­nal.

“There are great plans for next year. I want to penetrate the internatio­nal stage.

“I want to take my art at another level. There are internatio­nal collaborat­ions awaiting that I cannot reveal now,” he told H-Metro.

Recently, Van Choga was mentioned in latest songs of the artistes currently trending in the local music industry.

Ten and Reply by Winky D.

Van Choga said he was pleased to note that he is being recognised positively by other artistes.

“I feel happy when other artistes appreciate my works and it inspires me to work hard.

“Those artistes who appreciate me are doing a great thing as it gives me energy.

“It is also an honour to be appreciate­d by an artiste like Winky D and others,” he said. Van Choga rose to prominence this year during lockdown with his extraordin­ary energetic videos. Pindikiti became one of his best songs that many of his fans fell in love with.
