At the age of 14 years, Lael Tavonga Mushaninga has released her debut single — A girl is a woman — which she personally scripted.

For all RnB and soul music lovers, this song is not to be missed.

Lael is a talented singer and songwriter from Ha rare, Zimbabwe. She has fire in her soul and her music is a blend of soul, RnB and house.

Lael discovered her passion for music at a tender age of 4, when her parents realized how gifted she was after singing at her preschool’s Christmas play.

Since then, they have encouraged and supported her gift and her love for music.

Her passion for music, has sparked a fire inside her to pursue music profession­ally.

She sings at any opportunit­y, be it in front of an audience or by herself.

Her confidence was boosted after being given the platform to sing at her local church, Life and Liberty Ministries, who have tremendous ly supported and affirmed her God given talent.

She was then discovered and nurtured by RK the dream maker, who helped her record her first song in July 2020, which was played live on Star FM.

The song was produced by renowned music producer Chiweddar. Th is was the beginning of Lael’s profession­al music career.

Her soul and passion is so infectious, it will get anyone to fall in love with her voice and her music.

Her debut song, A girl is a woman, was produced by Brian ‘Vion’ Masendeke and Waynebeats @Vion Afro Musiq Studios and it comes at a perfect time when women are shattering glass ceilings.

Lael sings about how the girl child is tired of being silenced and ignored.

As women take up space in the world the girl child also has her space to speak out and be heard.

She is not letting anyone or anything keep her down or to be silenced . In her song, Lael speaks out for the girl child in a way that any young girl or woman can relate. She is ready to take up the world stage and she is certainly not letting anyone silence her.
