“I have been in the country since March lecturing at Great Zimbabwe University where I taught students practical work and voices.

“My band remained in South Africa and being the most affected sector, that was the only way I could keep myself busy.

“It has not been easy for us to do business the way we used to do over the years because of the Covid-19 pandemic which has crippled out operations.

“As such, we need to devise other means of survival while at the same time we need to keep on working hard and recording new stuff.”

The 65-year-old, who is set to renew his romance with locals when he performs at the much-hyped Econet’s crossover virtual concert, promised nothing but the best.

“I am glad to be included in the line-up where I will be performing with my group.

“I have not been active for a while and I also know that local fans still want to see me on stage since I have been starving them of live shows.

“I will simply do my best and fans should expect for more stuff from me.”

“To date, I have 42 albums with the latest being Zimba Remabwe which is being played by Great Zimbabwe Radio Station.

“I didn’t do a high profile launch but we are still planning to do so in future.”
