PSL duo launches clothing line
Dynamos defender Emmanuel Jalai says the current tough lockdown inspired him to launch a clothing label.
He co-owns the Just Me label together with Highlanders player Collins Mujuru.
“l chose the clothing brand because in life you have to invest in many things as long you have the access and opportunity to do so.
“l just thought of what I l can do besides football that can supplement me financially especially with the prevailing situation, we all know money is never enough.
“As footballers we also need more ideas to look for what we can do to sustain ourselves and families since there’s no football it means we doesn’t have some of the usual allowances so we need to go an extra mile.
“Colin and I came up with the brand considering life after football as well the current status.
“The initials are JM to us it’s Jalai and Mujuru but we decided not to put our names because someone might not like to wear something with other person’s name hence Just Me, it also carries a strong message of togetherness since. We are also preaching unity among fellow footballers, we can do it if we unite. The message there is let’s unite be it footballers or any other person because we can fight and win.”
The two are currently working on establishing a physical location shortly,
“Currently we doesn’t have a physical shop, we still mobile and we can deliver anywhere in the country
“For now we have t-shirts and caps in stock and soon we will be having hoods, cargo pants and shorts, crop hoodies and sweaters.” he said.
