SELMOR: DONDO FAMILY, ASSOCIATES NEED COMFORT

- Trust Khosa

SELMOR Mtukudzi reckons the family and close associates of the late Impala Car Rental Group CEO Thompson Dondo need comfort from the Lord to heal.

She however, noted that it would not be easy for some of the family members to come to terms with loss of their family head whose philanthropic work and support for artistes remain priceless.

“We have lost a great man who used to provide and help many people including artistes who looked up to him.

“I think the family and close friends need to look for comfort from the Lord who heals bleeding souls.

“I know it’s easy to heal and in my case, I sometimes breakdown when I think of my late father who died almost two years ago.

“However, prayer has help us to accept the reality and move on even though it’s not easy to forget about the loss,” she said.

Selmor, who served Impala Car Rental for 21 months as their brand ambassador said she will always cherish the good moments they had with Dondo.

“We worked with them for a year and I really enjoyed every month since I got all the support I needed from them as their brand ambassador.

“To King 98, he needs to take his time to heal and then continue with the good work he was doing.

“If he needs ample time to do so, let it be because he is still young and focused and can easily excel,” he said.

Selmor was roped in as Impala Car Rental brand ambassador in 2019 after the death of her father and national hero Oliver ‘ Tuku Mtukudzi.

She went on to release a well-knit album titled Dehwe Renzou after the death of the Black Spirits founder and Katekwe music exponent.

She has been doing well to keep her late father’s legacy. For the greater part of 2020 she managed to hold a number of online gigs.

With the majority of her peers struggling during lockdown last year, Selmor and her crew managed to secure a number of live performances to keep themselves active.
