DEALERS HUNT FOR CON-WOMAN
DEALERS in Waterfalls are reportedly hunting for a woman they are accusing of conning people in the area.
The matter came to light when she duped another resident of her laptop before others came out complaining of her heinous acts.
Rumbidzai Chimanga has not been seen for some time after she disappeared from her place of residence.
A case of theft of trust property has since been reported at Waterfalls Police Station under RRB 4661693.
The reported incident occurred on December 24.
Efforts to get a comment from Rumbidzai were fruitless as her mobile number was not available.
One of the victims, Hazel reported the matter:
“I was linked to her by a guy called Edy who I do deals with and he gave me Rumbidzai’s number whom I phoned and we became close.
“After two days she asked to see me before she requested to use my laptop which I gave her.
“She promised to return it in the evening of the same day, little did I know she was a con woman.
“Since that day, I never saw her again; her numbers are not going through. Kumba kwacho hanzi haana kudzoka,” she said.
Dealers in Waterfalls expressed their frustrations in a WhatsApp group.
“Imbava iyi yakatinyudza almost 9k.
“She worked at Old Mutual before she was fired over duping people.
“She was once arrested after she sold cars with fake documents.
“All along I thought she was in jail,” said Hazel.
Another said she once sold her husband’s car over debts.
“She once sold her hubby’s car to cover her debts.
“People at her place of residence are saying they have not seen her for a while.”
