KWEKWE MOANS HEALTH BOSS

KWEKWE City council Acting Town Clerk,Dr Lucia Mkandla, Mayor Angeline Kasipo and the residents have moaned the death of the deputy health director John Bandama, who died in Kwekwe yesterday morning.

Bandama worked for Kwekwe city for several years and at some point he was the Acting Health services department director before the council appointed Dr Mary Muchekeza to be the director.

Speaking to H-Metro, the acting Town Clerk Dr Lucia Mkandla grieved over the death of her subordinat­e which she described as a devastatin­g incident as the city has lost a dedicated fellow.

“It is true that we have lost Mr Bandama, it is quite devastatin­g and as Kwekwe city this a very dark moment for us to have lost such a dedicated fellow.

“He already had a heart problem and we were only informed this morning that he is no more but I am not sure whether he passed away last night or this morning, “said Dr Mkandla.

However, she could not divulge more informatio­n on the cause of his death but she highlighte­d that Bandama had a heart problem.

In addition, the Mayor Angeline Kasipo described the death of Bandama as a great loss to the Kwekwe city council team.

“We have lost a great member of our team it is very sad indeed, he has left a gap which no one can fill as he was a dedicated worker of the city,” she said.

Eric Musesengwe, the Chairperso­n of Kwekwe Publicity Associatio­n and other key residents also sent their condolence messages to Kwekwe city management and the Bandama family through social media platforms.

“This is sad indeed what a loss to his family, Kwekwe City Council and the entire Kwekwe Community as a whole. He was a humble and understand­ing man. We have lost an exemplary character and Director who was in our midst. May his dear soul rest in eternal peace.

“To the Acting Town Clerk Dr Mkandla, we are very sorry madam for this loss. Our town has lost a dear loving gentleman in Mr John Bandama.
