AMAZULU PLAYERS FACE AXE

-

AmaZulu coach Benni McCarthy has changed his mind about January transfers and admitted there will be changes coming after their disappointing draw with Maritzburg United on Sunday.

AmaZulu are home to Zimbabwean winger, Talent Chawapihwa.

At the beginning of this season Usuthu had one of their busiest transfer windows in a very long time, bringing in several quality players with experience.

McCarthy initially had no plans to make many changes by bringing in new faces but the situation has now changed, and the club is also looking to release some players who have not been getting game-time. Although the coach did not mention names, KickOff.com understands that Somilia Ntsundwana, Andre De Jong, Mario Booysen and some of the youngsters are among those who could be offloaded.

“’We need to stop drawing the games we should be winning, so we are looking at attacking options out there. We are looking to strengthen and definitely players will be leaving AmaZulu FC this time,” McCarthy said. “’Yes of course we don’t want deprive or stop players from getting gametime and that, so yeah we have a great squad and will be looking at offloading some players, give them an opportunity to play elsewhere you know.

“We are also looking at a few possibilities where we can strengthen because as good and solid as the team is, we can do with some top quality players, one or two coming in to strengthen the squad even more to be tougher to beat.” — Kick Off.
