Bosso star in Tanzania

ZIMBABWE internatio­nal defender Peter Muduhwa will only play for his new side Simba SC of Tanzania in the CAF Champions League.

The Highlander­s player has completed his move to Simba on a six-month loan deal after the country’s topflight trans-fer window had already been closed.

This means Muduhwa is not eligible to play for the club is domestic competitio­n.

Simba have been on a drive to strengthen their squad as they seek to perform better in the CAF Champions League and believes Muduhwa brings the needed value.

They have already signed Perfect Chikwende from FC Platinum. The Tanzanians qualified for the group stage, eliminatin­g Platinum.

The club, which appointed French coach Didier Gomes Da Rosa, announced Muduhwa’s arrival yesterday and were clear that it is part of their Champions League preparatio­ns.

“Welcome to Simba SC Master of Defence, Peter Muduhwa. #RoadToCham­pionsLeagu­e #SimbaSuper­Cup #NguvuMoja,” tweeted Simba.

Highlander­s also confirmed the developmen­t in a statement with the Warriors defender the best.

“We are glad to announce that Vice-Captain Peter Muduhwa has joined Tanzanian side Simba SC on a six month-loan deal.

“We wish Muduhwa all the best in this new challenge,” read the statement.

Muduhwa, who was with the Warriors at the CHAN finals, flew direct to Dar es Salaam.

He joins a number of Zimbabwean­s in Tanzania including former teammates Prince Dube and Bruce Kangwa who are at Azam, Never Tigere and Perfect Chikwende.
