Maungira Edenga, Vimby Vee song out
KWEKWE based choral group Maungira Edenga engaged the services of a talented songbird Vimby Vee in a new song
titled Muna Vanhu Venyu Mwari.
The song, which was recorded by Oskid, has an accompanying video to complement the audio.
Maungira Edenga is a groups led by popular Kwekwe twins Everson and Sylvester Mutema.
In an interview, Vimby Vee said the song is more of a prayer to the nation during these trying times.
“The song is a prayer to God and also we are encouraging people to invite the presence of God in their lives.
“Despite the fact that we are in difficult situations, he is giving us strength, blessings and even guiding us.
“Mwari vakanaka nguva dzese and we should continue calling his name,” she said. She added:
“It was nice working with the Kwekwe-based twins and I promise to continue working with them because they are goal-getters.
“I also want to urge people to continue observing all Covid-19 measures.
“It’s a phase which shall pass one day.” In another interview, Everson said they introduced new instruments in the song, which seeks to strengthen hearts of believers in these trying times.
“The song is very rich and we engaged the services of Vimby Vee, best producer Oskid and Blax for the video.
“I am pretty sure the song and the video will win hearts of many gospel lovers.
“In the song, we are praising God for his unconditional love to us and we seek to continue following his commandments.
“Even though we are in the Covid-19 era, God is with us and if we continue calling his name, it will come to an end,” he said.
Similar sentiments were echoed by Sylvester.
“Its not a secret we have been affected by Covid-19, but with the presence of God we are sailing through.
“We have introduced new instruments in this song.
“Special thanks go to GMI investments boss Chahwanda popularly known as Kuhle Magodora and Bravolands Milling Centres,” he said.
The video was shot by Blxck the Guru. Meanwhile, the twins are also shooting videos with dendera maestro Suluman Chimbetu and Trymore Bande for new songs which will hit the market soon.
