A SOCIAL media sensation who won the hearts of many with the track titled Hutsinye Mumagroup says he rebukes two-timers and lustful lovers.

The young man, whose video clips strumming the acoustic guitar effortlessly whilst singing the song went viral , has been identified as Amos “Ammora” who was born in Mberekwa.

He now stays in Pretoria, South Africa. H-Metro tracked down the young musician, who lost his father when he had just finished Grade Seven.

“I was born in Mberengwa in 1991 at Musume Mission. My father’s name is Titirike and my mother is called Sikoliwe.

“I went to school at Gwarava Primary School from Grade One to Seven.

“I did not proceed to secondary school after my father’s death,” he said.

Amora said his love for music grew after he dropped out of school to ease his sorrows.

“After dropping out of school, I learnt to play the guitar and I think it was in 2003 up to year 2008.

“My brother Jephiuas Tekwani then bought me a box and I moved on to perform the acoustic guitar,” he said.

Like most guitarists, Amora said he honed his skills under other musicians’ tutelage.

“I perfected my art when I met this man called Remember Mahafu, he helped me to hone my guitar playing skills.

“We held various school shows where I starred as a bass guitarist from 2009 up to 2011. That was when I went to search for greener pastures in Zvishavane.

“There, I met various groups until I started recording at Gramma Records with Zvishavane Masters in year 2013, which was my first time in the music recording studio as a bass guitarist in year 2015.

“From Zvishavane, I came here to South Africa and joined Remember Mahafu’ group Zvamaoko Express band.

“I moved on to join Chitakai Express, I left and we finally formed Arise and Shine Sounds. I was now playing any guitar without jittering in the studios.

“I then recorded my first album called Mavambo in 2017, it was well received by the public.”

He added:

“In the year 2018, we did not manage to record, then in 2019, we released an album called Nehasha Dzerwendo.

“In 2020, we did not manage to record anything; we just released a single track called Hutsinye Mumagroup.

“That is where we are, but we are still dreaming to go far though we are gradually moving ahead as we will be releasing many songs oon.

“And we are firmly ready for any challenge that might come facing us in the music industry.”

Ammora said they had lined up a series of live shows once the Covid-19 pandemic recedes.
