Learning platform adopts international standards

- Nyasha Kada

A NEWLY-LAUNCHED learning platform, Brain Central, is growing popular with Zimbabwean students.

The platform, which was launched on January 4, is readily available and offers quiz, examination and test settings for primary to tertiary level students.

The ongoing lockdown has forced schools to close down and students have had to devise optional ways of studying.

Speaking to H Metro, managing partner of Brain Central Zimbabwe, Lorraine Muzadzi said:

“They say a stitch in time saves nine, the launch of our education platform is meant to benefit Zimbabwean students during this difficult time.

“Students should not stop learning because of the pandemic and that’s why we came up with a convenient way for everyone to learn in their homes.

“The platform has been well received and the response has been good.

“Parents of mainly Form Three and Four students have been reaching out.” She added:

“On this platform local students can take exams, quiz or tests taken by students on the same level in other parts of the world.

“For example, an A-Level student in Zimbabwe can take equivalent A-Level type exams from the United States, United Kingdom, China, New Zealand and receive his/her answers in real time.

“This allows the student to have an idea where they are academically against other international students.

“Our platform also works with the international recognised safe exam browser to ensure students do not use the internet to look for answers to their exam.”
