Platinum Records pays homage to Soul Jah Love

- Entertainment Reporter

SOUTH AFRICA-BASED record label Platinum Records last Saturday held a befitting poolside send-off for the late Soul Jah Love.

The event was hosted in line with Covid-19 regulations and was very limited in terms of the number of attendees according to Phil Medzani; Platinum Records boss.

“I have known and worked with Soul Jah Love for close to a decade now and to me, he has been like a young brother.

“We had him on our very first riddim called Genesis and when we officially launched the studio here in South Africa.

“We brought him to officially launch the studio here amongst other things.

“It’s sad and painful, but we can now only honour his legacy by giving him a decent send-off even if we are far away,” said Medzani.

He added:

“I want to thank our co-hosts and partners Lens Photo Studio who were in charge of all visuals, including a Facebook live stream.

“Additional sound was provided by Kels 263 Entertainment.”

Entertaining at the show were emcees MC Rico Myers, Itso, deejays Purple Skunkz and Skebhe from South Africa.
