- Praise Masvosva

ZIMDANCEHALL chanter Seh Calaz over the weekend received his first shot of Covid19 vaccine in Harare.

Boss Yala, as the chanter is fondly known, said he took a giant step to motivate fellow musicians and fans to follow suit in a bid to combat the virus.

“I have decided to take the jab because it’s the right thing to do.

“Worldwide, people are being vaccinated against Covid-19 and it’s our best shot at bringing the pandemic under control.

“A lot of things, including our livelihoods have been disrupted by the pandemic and to return to normalcy we need to have as many people as possible to get vaccinated,” he said.

Asked about the feeling after he got his first vaccine, he said:

“I feel totally fine, no side effects whatsoever.

“People will always react to medication differently, but there is nobody I have heard of who took the vaccine and has serious side effects.”

He added:

“I urge people to stop spreading fake and conspiracy theories with no basis.

“This is what is stopping a lot of people from getting vaccinated.

“We must rely on science, we all want the pandemic to end and hence we have a responsibility when it comes to what we do as well as what we say.”

Boss Yala also said his studio, Yalanation, is open for recording for both upcoming and seasoned artistes.

“As Yalanation we are giving upcoming artistes an opportunity to showcase their talents.

“It’s open for everyone and we want to shape society with good music, which I believe will improve the mindset of Zimbabweans.

“We also need to continue observing all Covid-19 precautions.”
