‘Muskwe adds quality’
LUTON TOWN coach Nathan Jones says Admiral Muskwe will add quality after the team announced his arrival from Leicester City on a permanent deal yesterday.
The Zimbabwe international joined the Championship side on an undisclosed fee to end his long stay at The Foxes.
Jones told the club’s website that Muskwe has been a target for some time.
“We are delighted to have signed another player who has been a target for a while.
“He’s gained valuable experience of the Championship from his time there,” said Jones.
Jones said the Warriors star will add value to the team with his capability to play many roles upfront.
He said they had to wrestle a number of clubs to secure the signature of the Zimbabwean.
“Coming from a wonderful club like Leicester, he has great pedigree and his arrival adds quality right across the front three as he can play numerous roles.
“Having beaten a number of other teams to his signature, we can’t wait to get working with him,” he said.
The 22-year-old - Luton’s eighth new addition - is hoping for regular game time having been on the fringes his entire career at Leicester.
He has previously gained experience with Swindon Town, helping them gaining promotion from League Two and most recently in the Championship with Wycombe Wanderers.
Muskwe caught the attention of Luton Town when they played Wycombe in the just-ended season.
“We saw what a threat Ade can be when we came up against him at Wycombe last season,” said Jones.
Muskwe, capped by England Under-16s and U17s, had been in Leicester’s youth system since the age of nine and was named the Foxes’ Academy Player of the Season in 2016.
He scored 23 times in 71 Premier League 2 appearances, including six goals in eight outings for City’s U23 side last term prior to joining
Wycombe.
