- Arron Nyamayaro

A HARARE woman has been threatened with death by a local businessman over money she lent him to bribe rural town council officials to win a tender.

Caroline Tafadzwa Mukumbira sensationally claimed that one of Pilquip Investments’ directors, Wilson Pirima, duped her of US$680 at the beginning of May this year.

Pirima could neither confirm nor deny duping Mukumbira, threatening to deal with the latter.

Mukumbira told H-Metro that Pirima went on to win the two tenders and blocked her contacts.

“My life is in danger after helping Pirima with US$680 for his company to win tenders of rural town councils (names supplied),” said Mukumbira.

“Hanzi unofira mahara nekuda kwemari yangu achiti akatombovhara mumwe Commissioner zvikatorova.

“He is unfaithful, cruel and cowardly and my family is starving over the sacrifice I made for him to bribe the council officials to win the tenders.

“He blocked my contacts and threatened me for exposing deals that won him the tenders,” said Mukumbira.

Pirima refused to entertain H-Metro threatening to deal with the person who brought the story to media.

“I am going to deal with the person who gave you the story. That is all,” he said before hanging up.

However, Mukumbira showed this publication threatening messages and recorded audios between her and Pirima soon after he was contacted by

H-Metro.

“You and me are enemies forever!

Unofira mahara,” he fumed in the telephone conversation.

“People will read that story for a few days and that will be it, but me and you shall be enemies forever and you are not getting a cent of that money!” he fumed.

He claimed he will not be arrested over the issue and even boasted that he even defrauded a Commissioner.
