‘. . . WE DATED FOR 13 MONTHS’
JAH Prayzah’s most trusted lieutenant Keen Mushapaidze is over the moon after quitting bachelorhood.
The 30-year-old, who paid lobola for his celebrity better half Panashe Peters last week, told H-Metro Entertainment & Lifestyle he was ready to start a family with his wife.
Although he could not be drawn to reveal the number of “cows” he paid to get the 24-year-old model turned multi-media practitioner’s hand in marriage, Keen said both families had blessed their union.
“We dated for the past 13 months and decided to pay lobola last weekend.
“After paying lobola, we were then introduced to the in-laws who welcomed us,” he said.
The affable manager has vowed to work hard for his wife as they begin a new chapter together.
“It feels good getting married since it shows that I am all grown up which comes with more responsibilities.
“It will be tough since we are always travelling but I am glad that I married someone who understands the nature of my job. “She is still a student at UZ doing her four year course and she was on recently on attachment,” he said.
Keen, who is the eldest son in a family of three boys, said his parents were equally ecstatic following his marriage.
“I come from a family of three boys and the news of Panashe joining us makes her the only ‘girl child’ at the moment.
“My parents are so excited that they now have a daughter-in-law they had waited for, for so long and they have since blessed the marriage,” he said.
In another interview, Panashe could not hide her elation describing Keen as a loving husband and soul.
“I’m happy to be part of Keen’s life after he paid lobola last weekend.
“He is someone that I understand better, which has led us to this point.
“I will always be there for him and hope to support him as my husband,” she said.
Meanwhile, Keen and Panashe are set to tie the knot later this year, according to insiders.
