Nox wants to conquer the world

- Edwin Nhukarume

MUSICIAN Nox Guni says he is preparing the ground to launch his mission to conquer the world.

He is touring Zimbabwe from May 14 to June 26.

The urban grooves star, who started his career at the turn of the millennium, believes his tour was the beginning of his dream to expand his wings.

In an interview with H-Metro, Nox said he needed the support of his people before he could try to conquer the world.

The nationwide tour would be his first step to achieve his goals and as he has promised some fireworks.

“I am promising my fans the time of their lives,” he said.

“They will be the first to see what the world is going to see, because we are about to take over the world, so, for us to do that, we have to make sure we have the support of our people.

“You can never be a king of another country if you are not a king in your own country. That is why I have come to this conclusion.

“So, we need our people, especially for the first step, which is the African scene.

“As long as my people are not supporting me as a unit, we can only go so far, there is a point when we cannot do anything without the help of the people.

“So, that is why I am back.

“I am back for now, I want to make sure I am in every province, every corner, every Zimbabwean needs to see me because I have been representing the country and I think it’s the time to meet me in person.

“These kids who were born in the 2000s have never met me in person, I am doing this for them, too, so that they can know that they have met me in their lifetime.”

Nox said he was inspired by some international artists to do the nationwide tour.

“I haven’t done this kind of tour but I am about to do it.

“Obviously, we draw lessons from the international scene. We see artists from the USA doing this, having tours.

“We are not even doing this the way they do it. They do it on a daily basis.

“Even Makhadzi down here in SA, she is doing the same.

“She is having three to five shows a day. So, it can be done.”

Nox says he wants to motivate people to never give up.

“I haven’t done everything I want to do, I haven’t achieved what I wanted to achieve, but so far what I have done can motivate someone, never give up, that’s the story that I am going around with,” he told H-Metro.

Nox started his musical journey at the millennium, with the song Mariah, which introduced him to the nation.

From there he made several hit songs like Ndinonyara which made him popular in the country. He also boasts of the recent song My Melody, featuring Master KG, which did well on the international scene.
