After conquering his demons, Tryson thanks fans for their support
DENDERA crooner Tryson Chimbetu is holding shows to salute his fans and local showbiz stakeholders for rallying behind him as he “relaunched” his career.
Tryson said he is now fully focused on music and has lined up a number of shows to compensate for the time he was under rehabilitation.
Sekuru Dhimba, as the entertainer is fondly known, told H-Metro that he is also spending most of his time in the studio.
“I can say everything is now back to normal,” he told H-Metro.
“A big thank you to the fans and everyone who rallied behind me.
“Even the media, sometimes as artists, we feel you are being unfair on us, but at the end of the day, you realise that it has helped you.
“So, above all, I’m back fully focusing on music.
“My wish is to hold as many shows as I can.
“I feel I owe my fans a lot, and to me, their support is precious.”
He said the series of appreciation shows begins with a free show in Harare tomorrow.
“I’m inviting fans to come in their numbers for the show on Saturday,
and it’s free.
“We are performing at a new venue called KwaClyde at the corner of Robert Mugabe and Chiremba Road.
“To me, it’s more of a meet-and-greet show. I want to have a direct interaction with fans, and they will determine the playlist of the day.
“The show starts in the afternoon to accommodate families.”
The Pahotera hit-maker acknowledges that he is yet to realise his full potential. “I know this story of my potential.
“That’s why I said I’m also spending most of my time in the studio.
“More music is coming.” Tomorrow’s event is being coordinated by Shepherd Machakanja, who also handles Tryson’s affairs.
“This is a special event just like Tryson explained.
“It starts at 2pm and we just want to thank the proprietor Tendai Munetsi for giving us the platform, we have more similar events coming up,” he said.
