RONNIE LEAVES, FOCUSES ON FUTURE
RONALD PFUMBIDZAI bade farewell to his teammates and fans at Chippa United.
He is leaving the club to join SuperSport United on a three-year-deal.
The Warriors left back moved to the Chilly Boys in January last year on a free transfer and made his debut in the Round of 32 of the 2022 Nedbank Cup.
“To my fans, l would like to thank them for everything they have done for me and it pushed me to work even harder.
“l want to thank them for their love and encouragement so l will miss them and hope to see them in the future
“I won’t forget you and the great atmosphere my team mates created for me, when I joined them.
“I appreciate all the love they gave me and they will be part of my heart and life and with some our relationship went beyond being teammates, we are like family now.
“I have enjoyed my stay here because of these people who made me feel welcomed and l will forever cherish that.”
The 28-year-old says he wants to do well at his new club.
“I have targets and I believe I can still reach
them, which is to get some game time and command a place in the team.
“I would love to continue with the form that I have been in and scoring goals and also bring it to the team.
“I think you have to expect more when I start playing because the goal is to improve and be a better player every day.”
When asked about what he will bring to the team, he said:
“I don’t think it’s about me alone but it’s about combining qualities in each player and I am sure we will achieve our goals.
“And, if we do that I am certain that we will be okay.
“At the end of the day, it’s not about me but the club so I will try to give my all and make sure they reach the target.”
