BATTLE OF DJS EXPLODES
IT’S the Battle of the Djs at the Carling Black Label contest at Eclipse Pub and Grill.
More than 10 participants will compete for two slots, to be included in the national finals set for Bulawayo, on December 23.
Organisers, Delta Corporation have included a sound metre, which fans will use to rate the wheel-spinners at Saturday’s affair.
“We are set for our last preliminary round at Eclipse Pub and Grill tomorrow where a number of participants will showcase their talent.
“Our fans also have a chance to vote for their favourite DJ through a sound meter that has been designed to improve on the quality of the show,” said Delta Corporation corporate affairs manager, Patricia Muramabinda.
She added:
“It’s going to be one of the best finals ever judging from the participants that have made it to the final.
“The idea to target both upcoming and professional DJs has paid off and we are positive we are set for an interesting final.
“The consumers have also played a huge role in deciding the fate of some of the finalists.”
Two winners from the contest will join 22 other emerging deejays, who have also qualified, for the inaugural competition.
The talent search was conducted in Bulawayo, Chinhoyi, Chitungwiza, Harare, Mutare, Gweru, Masvingo and Mutare. Harare and Bulawayo have registered six participants each while Gweru, Masvingo, Chinhoyi and Mutare have two each.
