CHURCH LEADER CHEERS POLICE WIDOWS

JOHANNE Masowe yeChishanu Velvet shrine leader, Madzibaba Owen Chingondi, has donated grocery hampers to police widows and orphans in Chitungwiza.

Chief Superintendent Severino Muguti commended Madzibaba Owen for his contribution and urged his congregation to consider joining the Christian Community Police Network (CCPN), which fights crime by working closely with the police.

“We have a total number of 59 church pastors within our district under CCPN,” Chief Supt Muguti.

“Among the team, I questioned myself why Madzibaba Owen’s congregation was not among the team considering his efforts in helping people in Chitungwiza.

“Madzibaba Owen has changed a number of people’s lives and today he is extending his hand of love to our police widows and orphans.”

He added:

“I would like to express my gratitude to the Commissioner General of Police Godwin Matanga for giving us the greenlight to work with various stakeholders.

“Our Commissioner General always makes it a point that every year we gather for the end-of-year church service, hence a gathering of this magnitude. In as much as we may be professionals and experts in various fields, we all need God’s grace, covering and guidance in order to enjoy life to its fullest.”

Madzibaba Owen said:

“It is not that we have a lot, but we give according to grace given to us. I want to urge people to believe in God who gives us sufficient grace to take us through.”

“Our agents of God in police uniform really need support in terms of prayers so I strongly believe that we are not gathered here in vain and this is not a gathering of failures.”

Madzibaba Owen urged people to put their faith in God who gives everyone grace and power to work and live. It is not that we have a lot, but we give according to grace given to us,” said Madzibaba Owen.

“I want to urge people to believe in God who gives us sufficient grace to take us through,” he said.
