ENZO ISHALL REVEALS THE TRICK

- Maria Chiguvari

ZIM dancehall artist, Enzo Ishall, believes experimenting with new sounds is what makes his music unique.

The chanter has vowed to remain consistent this year and even surpassing the heights he has scaled so far.

He believes authenticity has pushed him this far in the music industry.

In an interview with H-Metro, Enzo said he does the scripts for his music videos.

“Mainly, it’s planning a release schedule for new music to maintain consistency throughout the year, rehearsals with the band for upcoming events, and scheduling our gig guide for the year.

“Authenticity, being true to yourself, and staying authentic in my music will make it stand out.

“I am a great at storytelling and the ability to connect with listeners to create memorable narratives makes music resonate on a deeper level.

“Experimenting with new sounds from different producers, blending genres, or incorporating unconventional elements also helps my music stand out from the crowd,” he said.

Enzo believes he has another strength in choreography. “I am also a great performer, producing hits upon hits, doing my scripts and directing video shoots.

“I am also a very good songwriter and have been writing songs for some artists, I wrote ‘Titungamire’ and ‘Maita Basa’ for Gemma.”

The chanter is set to release a gospel song next month.

“We are releasing a new gospel song produced by Rodney Beatz called ‘Kanganwa’ in February,” he said.

While he hinted on his Facebook page that he would be signed under a certain record label, the chanter said he was only fooling around.

“Don’t mind the post, we are just fooling around. It’s nothing serious.”
