A SANGOMA says Zim dancehall star Freeman is NOT an armed robber but his woes stem from his ancestors who are furious that he has turned his back on them.

However, Freeman, told H-Metro he is a God-fearing man who doesn’t believe in sangomas.

“Matoita basa, handiite zven’anga ini, ndoita zvaMwari, handiite zvevadzimu, I don’t do such things.

“Handiite shave rekuimba, mine is pure talent from God.”

Freeman is one of the leading artists in the country but has been generating a lot of headlines dripping with negativity in recent months because of his questionable and suspicious association with some slain armed robbers.

Sekuru Achapola, the sangoma who thrust himself into the limelight when he “treated a girl who was discharging worms from her private parts,” told H-Metro Freeman was not an armed robber.

Born Tsitse Njuma Musaiware in Malawi, the sangoma said the HKD boss had other challenges which were now dragging him into a dangerous world where his name was being tainted.

“For a fact, Freeman is not an armed robber but he needs to respect his ancestors,” he said.

“Freeman gets possessed with his ancestral spirits when singing to the world as well as teaching people.

“I am being told that Freeman must respect his ancestors and clan because he is not an ordinary man since he is led by his ancestral spirits.

“Freeman is being invited by his ancestors now, we came across this while we were at our shrine and the issues are really serious.” He added:

“Freeman is blessed with the talent of hustling and I was advised that he must brew traditional beer and perform rituals.

“He risks being jailed for crimes he did not commit if he doesn’t perform these rituals.

“Freeman hangs around with blessed hustlers and he must take my advice seriously.

“I love and respect all those who respect their ancestors and I salute (Alick) Macheso who always respects his ancestors wherever he performs.

“The same applies to the Chimbetus.
